The Jashgawronsky Brothers were born 23 years ago from an idea of artists from different backgrounds (theatre, music, clowning and visual comedy) with the aim of producing shows combining live music and comedy. The characters of the Jashgawronsky brothers, who come from an obscure orphanage in Yerevan, Armenia, immediately imposed themselves on the international scene for their original use of musical instruments made mainly of recycled material. In recent years they have been able to renew themselves continuously, taking their productions around three continents, winning several national and international awards, and participating in numerous television programmes in Italy (Zelig, Comedy Central, Sette Per Uno, Il Circo di Raitre, Music Quiz, Italia's got Talent) and abroad.
Their shows are adapted to many different situations: theatre, open air festivals, street festivals, circus, musical events and children's shows. The Jashgawronsky Brothers have performed in: Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Romania, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Japan.
